Chevron in Alturas (1080 N Main St)

Station is very clean and customer service is very nice. They sell California Lottery and scratchers and also are able to do Western Union money transfers. Restrooms are very nice, clean, and updated. Station has a couple bench tables inside for relaxing or eating. They have a food court with I wide variety of food including my favorite, Chicken Bowl. They have a dump site for RVs to dump their sewage tanks for a fee. They also have air and water. Gas pumps have tall awnings for RVs and such but the set up of the pumps is an inconvenience for your semi tractors hauling trailers although a commercial vehicle not towing anything could easily gain access along with RVs. Gas prices are always the highest in town by usually anywhere from 0.04 to 0.10 more than the competitors in town. Outside of driving 5 miles north of town to the Chimney Rock fueling station, this station is overall the best choice for travelers stopping into the little town of Alturas as it has a wide variety of accommod

The diesel prices were .50/gallon higher at the pump than advertised on the sign

The bathrooms were dark, no light switch. No soap in dispenser. Lock broken on bathroom stall in ladies room. Has pump instructions difficult to read. Poor customer service as English was second language.

Most expansive gas in town. Workers whisper or are on their phones while assisting customers. Seems like a rushed experience.
