Chimney Rock Travel Center in Alturas (27002 US-395)

Chimney rock travel center is a small fueling and travel center station about 5 miles east of Alturas on US 395. The travel center is located on native lands, thus they can offer a better price for all fuels. The staff for the most part is very friendly, the travel center itself is very clean and orderly. The restrooms are huge and you will find no signs of garbage anywhere. I highly recommend.

Very clean and friendly store with very helpful staff. Always greeted as soon as I walk in the door. Free drinks for buying gas is a plus.

These folks are only taking cash, No cards of any kind.

Always better prices than the rest of the stations in the area. Plenty of room for large vehicles and tow rigs. Easy in and out.

Great for snacks and cheap gas heading out of town.

They charged me twice. one for $19.54 and one for $32.84. Which one is correct? My card would not go in all the way, so I changed pumps. That was a hassle.

Entire store was well laid out, and both the bathrooms and store were extremely clean. Overnighted in my RV in huge lot, provided for just that. Employee I spoke with was very nice.
