If you accidentally damage something DO NOT negotiate a quick walk away settlement unless you have an idea of the repair costs. I did this and got burned. On Fri 04-27-18 I was there to get gas and because of having to much on my mind I drove away with the nozzle still in the gas tank, totally my fault.At first he said 800.00 for the repair cost, I said no I would file a claim but when he found out my deductible was 500.00 he changed the cost to 490.00. So not wanting to file a claim for such a minor accident I paid the 490.00 big mistake. When I got home and did some research I found out that this sort of accident happens a lot and the pump I used had a automatic break away system that causes very little to no damage to the pump.In my case I could not see any damage, only the hose separated from the pump.
