Montclair Gas in Oakland (5725 Thornhill Dr)

New Management are on top of there game they remodeled the place it looks like a real store now, they have more snacks and drinks and the cashiers are very nice and attentive if you need help with anything. This will be my stop for gas and snacks from now on.

Just 20 mins ago I tried to purchase gas at this location using a prepaid card. The older Indian guy at the cashier was very rude. He took a look at my card and said "try it at the pump" and I said "prepaid cards don't work at the pump, I have to use it inside" but he insisted I try it at the pump. Of course it didn't work so I went back in and told him it doesn't work and I have to pay inside. Without even looking at my card again or even trying it, he said they don't accept this card. I said they accepted last time to which he didn't respond. He completely brushed me off, totally ignored me. I have no idea what his problem is but he needs to work on his customer service skills. For whatever reason he decided not to accept my card and I can't figure out why?!?!

This station was originally opened in 1928 as a TEXACO station.

These guys have always been great. Decent gas prices and friendly staff. Free air for tires too!
