Gas is always cheaper north of the Illinois border

I appreciate the decent prices at this station. However, they only have one diesel pump, so it's a gamble if you'll have to wait for it to become available. I drove to the station today to find the diesel pump out of order. I was very disappointed.

I usually stop for gas here and it's always a clean nice place

Turned lights off just before 7 P.M. Had to pump gas in the dark. Station was dirty

There was an older lady working the register. She literally yelled at several customers ahead of me. Once I got to the counter, I asked for a receipt as the pump didn't provide one. She mumbled something under her breath then proceeded to tell me I had to wait as she had to go outside to check that I had hung up the nozzle correctly, which I agreed to and stepped aside. I decided to go outside and check myself which I found no issue with. I walked back inside and told her that I checked for her and there was still no receipt. She then started to yell at me saying that " You people are asking too much of one person". I asked her to calm down and reminded her she shouldn't treat customers that way. She moaned under her breath again and proceeded to write my total on a piece of paper. I stated this wouldn't work as I need this for tax purposes, to which she rolled her eyes and told me to come back the next day and speak to the day person. I love the process but it's not worth the abuse 😔
