Today I filled up for $36.00. Thinking it would fit more I gave the credit card from which they charged $60.00. I was convinced that if he entered less, he would give me the rest of the money. That didn't happen. At my protest, the employee took $60.00 from the card again, but when I objected, he returned it. Either the employee is a fraud or he is incompetent. I am awaiting a refund of $24.00. The proof is my Visa Chase Bank statement.

We have researched your inquiry and show your card being authorized at the pump for $60.00 and the sale settling in the amount of $37.88. Banks do require an authorization for pay at the pump transactions. An authorization for a higher amount is required because it is not known how much fuel is going to be pumped. Please note, every bank has different authorization policies, you will need to reach out to the credit card’s issuing bank to inquire about their authorization hold policy. Always courteous and helpful. They have a clean restroom for a gas station but always allow customers to use it unlike some gas stations that lie and say they don’t have one, which begs the question where do you pee!

Don't pay by credit card here! The guy started the pump, then walked away. When I got out of the car to see what he was doing with my card, I saw it hanging out of the pump where anyone walking by could have stolen it!
