Shell in June Lake (US-395)

Small station, friendly staff. Pumps are slow to react to entries, but I think it has to do with the poor internet reception in the area. Better gas prices than other stations between Bishop and Reno.

Good location, easy access with no congestion.

So my family went up for the 4th of July holiday. Pulled up to their antiquated pumps, and my husband got out to fill our truck. He was having difficulty and asked me to help. Pump reader said $75 from the previous person who had pumped gas. Pump would not clear after lifting the nozzle. We started over. Put nozzle back on pump. Inserted card again and pump reader cleared. Pumped $139 in fuel and left. Next day I check my bank account. Station pump charged me $75 AND $139. Drove all the way back to the station a day later and talked to the manager. Said he couldn’t look up transaction because it had been to long and take it up with my bank!! I did and was credited back but 3 weeks later was debited again. Bank could get no results from station, therefore I had to eat the $75 loss!! Bottom line… AVOID THIS GAS STATION!! FILL UP AT THE CASINO IN BISHOP!!!

Convenience store is closed at night. Good shakes! Better cell phone signal at the West end of the lot, away from 395. There is a recycling bin

Snacks and stuff

8 pumps. They should clean their buckets of water to wash windows regularly. There was trash and dirty water in mine. Friendly service.

No cover over pumps

Very expensive gas. However, although Bridgeport Shell is only 37 miles north, it is just as expensive.
