Last Sunday my husband and I rushed out of the house in order to get our entire family to a Christmas tree farm photo shoot on time. The farm is located about an hour away from our home and during the drive our gas light went on. That's when my husband realized he forgot his wallet at home (which is so rare) and that I didn't bring my purse (which is not so rare). We were able to get to the farm with 6 miles left until empty. After the photos we stopped at the nearest gas station and asked if they accept Apple Pay. The kind gentleman said no they don't. Panic set in. We had four kids in the car, including a 2 year old. It was now dark. I asked if I could call my mother-in-law to read my credit card number to me by phone. He said not to worry...that he will give me $10 worth of gas and I could mail him the money during the week.
