Many "tourists" come to lake gaston with boats and jet skis and you can guarantee the price of gas will go up at least 10 cents for gas before a holiday, already the highest in the area. They are actually making the locals go to Virginia or littleton where gas is 30-40 cents cheaper. Va 5 min away and Littleton 8 away. The local know but not the tourist. Staff is very nice and food is good and priced well.

This place is the definition of price gouging. I realize we are in a rural area, but they are usually a good 30-50 cents higher than everybody else nearby. They pay the same for their gasoline - they can only charge more because they are the only station right on the lake. Somebody needs to open another... Also they are just raping you on the cost of non ethanol. You don't really need that for your boat, and it shouldn't cost an extra $1 or $2 per gallon!
