Road Star in Independence (11100 E US-40 )

Be aware that the price at the pump is usually 2 or 3 cents less per gallon than the advertised price ... at least for regular unleaded. The only way to know that is to pull up to their pumps. They advertise the same price as QT across the street, so for a long time, I never knew about the further discount at the pump.

Does NOT have Diesel!!!

None of these pumps work so yes it'd cheap but you can't actually get gas

Place is filthy, covered in graffiti and tweakers. Card readers on diesel pumps are almost always broken.

Customer service is pretty good. The location is a bit sketchy. They have a separate kitchen and their food is really good. Station itself is a bit dirty and outdated
