Don't ever buy fuel here if you own a Subaru direct-injection turbo. I should have known. The highest octane they have is 91. Generally I use Shell or Chevron 93. I put $30 of 91 octane here at the Livermore Falls location and a few miles later, skipping, misfires, rough idle, P0172 code (rich bank 1), loss of power, and high oil temps. Within a week the oil was extremely black. I was able to get to Shell a few days later and fill the tank with 93. Gradually everything has improved. Today, I changed the oil, filters, added fuel injection cleaner, and finally all symptoms have gone away. When I changed the oil, it was blacker than I've ever seen it. It could have been just that particular batch and day, but it was a very bad experience.
