Waves Food Mart in Newport (1213 NC-24)

would not sell gas to anyone but employees. went there bc gas buddy alerted me they had gas. I get there and a women is putting gas in her car. I went inside to pay for gas and the clerk said they are only giving gas to employees. what kind of BS is that? I have no gas and they couldn't even sell me 5 dollars worth to get to court or work in the morning. Terrible!!! Very disappointed!!!!

absolutely love waves mart. food is always good, very friendly workers and clean bathrooms. they just added more parking but it is a tight little joint for getting in and out for gas. their gas prices are a little higher than normal only because they're a small business. i suggest if you are to support local, they're the ones to support! as it stands right now (2/23/22) all gas prices are 3.59 so they're on the same pricing as the other gas stations. i will be coming back here!

This place has turned into a great stop.... from in store stock to very clean restaurant with great food and service....friendly staff and they always seem to be busy.

Employees are very friendly and social and I am never let down when I stop for a snack
