sometimes very good service, sometimes not and sometimes ? Gen Zs too focused on yacking to each other and/or eating behind the counter or where pizzas being made..... Please take a 5min break and go elsewhere to eat away from registers and food prep.

This is a service station with gas. Not your modern gas station with any conveniences. The pros: They pump your gas, wash your windshield, will check your oil if you ask, and even air up your tires just like the hood ole days all at a price that is par with other stations in town. They do seem to always be rushed, even sometimes impatient. If you’re looking for cleanliness or an organized store, you’re in the wrong place. If you want to stay in your car while someone else Pumps your gas, you’re in the right place.
While I’m not aware of a g recent issues, there’s been problems with the fuel here in the past. They have premium fuel but don’t be fooled into thinking it’s ethanol free. Parking is tricky with some spots requiring you to back directly onto a state highway and main drag through town. The food is par at best and sometimes old. The worst thing about this station is the slot machine inside and the clientele it attracts. Unfortunately you have to pass by the machine and it’s player to get to the restrooms. There are two restrooms. But unfortunately they are both unisex.l Staff is always friendly. Gas prices are the same as everywhere else in town which means they’re higher than about any surrounding town.
Given it’s age, this station is ok. It’s nostalgic like straight out of Mayberry and is in desperate need of a facelift. Don’t hold your breath on that one. The one, tiny, 1940’s style gas station restroom is small and shared between men and women. Hot water? At least they converted it to where you now enter it from the interior in comparison to its original design. Most of the staff is friendly and it is preferred by the locals who choose to support their local business. I’m not sure how much they actually give back to the community in return for this patronage though. And it would appear that very little of the stations profits are reinvested in updating the business. If your looking for any modern convenience such as pay at the pump, nice restrooms or elbow room in the aisles, this isn’t your place. If your looking to re-visit your childhood gas station memories or have a chat with a friendly cashier, then stop on in.
